Default Road Trip Suggestions

Rather than fly up to see my relatives on Thanksgiving, my wife and I decided to do a road trip. Was looking for suggestions for stuff to do. Over a 4-day span, we are planning to take I-75 north through Knoxville, Lexington and Cincinnati. Coming back, we are planning to spend a day in Louisville before heading home, with a possible stop in Nashville if anyone wants to meet up on Sunday evening after Thanksgiving.

Open to any suggestions, including stuff that's worth seeing in between (e.g., Daniel Boone forest).

Do you like bourbon?

Also, if you want a great burger stop at my good friend's restaurant Bard's Burgers in Covington (across the river from Cincinnati on the KY side). He makes really good Cincy-style chili and cheese coneys too.

It's too bad it will be late November and too cold to do much camping/hiking. Red River Gorge isn't too far out of your way and it's an incredibly beautiful area.

I was gonna suggest burgers at "stock & barrel" in Nashville if you wind up there, but then I remembered that they are pretty unlikely to be kosher, so scratch that if that's an issue. The burgers are amazing. I also liked the drinks a lot too.

My kitchen isn't kosher, but I could provide kosher-style options if you want to visit.

Hmm, reducing my carbon footprint vs. seeing my family. Gee, that's a tough choice....

there was no wait on a Saturday night, which surprised me. also don't take reservations. maybe they are relatively unknown for some odd reason.
