I have heard good things about Ski Cooper from others, and would like to check it out sometime.

We were super impressed when we went for our 1st time there last season.

Pros - It's small, cheap, parking is close to the slopes, no crazy long runs, short lift lines, and at time you feel like the only ones on a particular run, decent mix of Green/Blue/Blacks, Leadville gives it's own unique flair if one wants to stay there for a night

Cons - Further drive, if inclement weather the pass can suck, the exit from 70 gets a huge back log from people trying to get to Copper, not really a place I personally would want to ski multiple days in a row

The last con is more due to the variety of runs you like get coupled with the limited vertical of the runs (they are not crazy long) means that I think you can get a really good idea and cover most (if not all) of the terrain one particularly likes to ski. Obviously, more skilled skiers and riders will be able to hit more runs. Limited skiers and riders will get bored (my assumption) if they are skiing/riding the same mountain on back to back days.

My first two years learning how to snowboard were done at Ski Cooper, so I have fond memories of it. Wasn't crowded and had a couple long easy runs to learn on. Haven't been there for 20+ years now though, so not sure what it's like today.

One of those "atmospheric rivers" got set up, bringing really high moisture throughout much of the rockies. Epic snow totals, but wet and avalanche prone

Here's a parking lot shot at Alta with buried cars. Watch for the avalanche in the back of the frame. https://twitter.com/Carvit10/status/...567652865?s=20

I'm going skiing in SLC, arriving 4/3 and leaving 4/7. Staying up at Solitude, skiing Solitude and Brighton. You should come. 3 day lift tickets for Solitude are $199.

Just a word of warning that I'll be there too, thankfully my skiing is not as bad as my jokes.

I have a room with 2 queen beds at the Inn at Solitude. I'd be happy to split it with another guy if anyone is interested. Your cost for 4 nights would be $400.
