Spoiler:
Disagree with the notion that Hop is clearly dead. There was an obvious choice to go through the gate. Also, when El is reading his note at the end of the episode, there is clear emphasis on the part where he says to leave the door 3 inches open. This was obviously originally a reference to the bedroom door, but the context of it being read after the gate closing and the intonation with which it was spoken had some obvious foreshadowing.

I have the next day and a half off work and might give this a try. I didn't love season two...is it even worth watching three?

I'd say that 3 is better than 2. Certainly looks at more than just "who are the bad guys and what are they doing?" plot lines. Parenting teens that are dating is another theme explored in the early episodes.

Two might viewed as a "setup" for season 3.

Season 3 has quite a different feel than 2. I'd say to watch the first episode. You'll know pretty quickly if you like the direction they head with it.

Wow, so I thought the second half of the season was a lot less entertaining than the first four episodes. Didn't care for Alexi, drunk ice cream kdis were annoying as F, the dating stuff started amusing and grew tired, got tired of the monster just scaring people instead of biting their heads off before 11 could come zap it.

Just finished last night, good stuff. Lot of suspension of disbelief talk ITT, and of course it is required more in this series than many others. But IT'S A SCI-FI FLUFF PIECE, that's kind of the point, to suspend disbelief and enjoy the ride. Loved it.

The build-up in this season seemed better done than in the first two. First you think the rats will be the monster, then Billy, then ... It's a nice progression up to the final battle.

PS I have the hots for Mike's mom.

Nancy Wheeler should've been named "Stacy".

But maybe that's her middle name?

I just finished it last night. Another really enjoyable ride with this group of folks. The casting on this show is spot on and the seasons are put together like long movies which I really like. Great show.
