Benny recently got the bicep injury, not sure if it was from deadlifts or not but he missed the arnold classic.

The bicep attaches to the radial tuberosity, which rotates around and stretches out the bicep when using a supine grip, so there is definitely more tension. Whether that increased tension is enough to cause strain varies from person to person.

This is also why chin ups work the bicep more than pull ups. With the overhand grip of the pull up, the Bicep is already partially contracted so you cant contract it as much.

at the arnold classic a new tire deadlift and hip lift records were set, I have to watch them.

I think with the alternating grip your safe if you let the weight fall more into the fingers and not in the palm and dont jerk the weight up.

Looks like he beat Magnusson's record by 15lbs. Brutal.

A good Jerk shouldn't have any pressing. Leg strength to get the bar off your shoulders, then quick underneath it, and lock out strength. I might be able to bench more now too. That was done in September. Kind of annoyed because I failed at 205# again last weekend, so it feels like I haven't made progress in the last month.
