My prior company was the same fwiw. The pay was below market but the study support was top of the line. 15 days per sitting.

120 hours per half-year sounds about right.
That's 2 hours per day for 12 weeks. Back in the day, I'd usually take only about four full days off, spreading the rest around over the prior 16 weeks or so. 3:00 PM rolls around, and I go to the study room (yes, a separate office space dedicated to actuarial studying!) for the remaining two hours of work, then another three hours or so of my own time. After that the traffic has died down, and I can get home at a reasonable pace.
