Yeah, do that, fix comm auto.

My company talks about getting into commercial auto every so often so we can "offer a more complete coverage solution." We also are a little surplus heavy. I assure mgmt that we can fix that extra surplus problem by going into CA as a naive player.

I have to :ctm: a bit here given that your statement would be very true whether CA = Comm Auto or CA = western state that's about to fall off into the Pacific Ocean.

Yes Allstate has tons of actuaries in their downtown (merch mart) location. I’d hazard a guess that’s their largest area for young actuaries.
