Is it okay to walk on the grass at Arlington Cemetery?

I was looking for a certain historical figure's grave, but that would have required me to walk on the grass, which I observed that nobody was doing while I was there, so I didn't. Is it okay to walk on the grass?

I think it's a safe bet that if you aren't allowed on the grass there will be a sign. But I wouldn't walk across the graves.

Hmmm okay. I definitely would have had to do that for this guy. He was right in the middle of one of the sections.

Really? There is usually a bed of grass between rows of graves that people walk on to get to the grave of their loved one.

Oh nevermind, I wasn't sure what you meant by walk across? Like on top of where they are buried or stepping over the tombstones?

It's fine to walk on grass. You should avoid walking on graves if possible, which is should be if they set it up right. I'm assuming Arlington is set up right. Definitely don't dance on them.
